In these hands-on training sessions, cadavers were used to enhance surgical proficiency. However, we encountered a very clear problem in the field: <strong>Cadavers typically have healthy anatomy; they do not present the &#8220;diseased\/pathological&#8221; anatomy that surgeons truly need to practice on.<\/strong> On the other hand, while virtual reality (VR) applications offered visual richness, they could not provide the physical and haptic feedback a surgeon requires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To address this deficiency and to accurately simulate surgical scenarios, we launched <strong>BonyModels<\/strong> in 2021 with our T\u00dcB\u0130TAK and KOSGEB-supported R&amp;D project at Istanbul Technopark.
